The youth group of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of being deceitful with his claim that all top officials of his government are barred from flying first class while embarking on officials trips. The PDP group which made the accusation via its twitter handle, @PDPNYF recently, queried why Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, was disembarking from what looked like a private jet in a photo shared by the group on twitter. According to media reports, Mr Festus Akanbi, the media adviser to the finance minister, Kemi Adeosun, in statement, said all top government officials such as ministers, permanent secretaries, Chairmen of Federal Government Committees, as well as Chairmen and Chief Executives of Parastatals and Agencies are to travel on business class. The PDP released ticket information saying that 16 year-old Hanan Buhari was spotted flying first class. The party then questioned the rationale behind the president’s directive to cabinet ministers not to fly first class when his children do so, insisting that it was a sign of corruption.
